Numbers 15:22 – 31

Questions:

1. What difference did it make in how you were punished as a child if you said, “It was an accident” or “I didn’t mean to”?

2. Why is there little mercy for the “defiant” sinner?

3. Why do you think sacrifice is required for unintentional sin? What does this say about God’s nature and human nature? What does this teach about reconciliation?

4. Although sacrifice is not required of Christians, how do you deal with each kind of sin (communal sin and individual sin)?  How does this help to mend your relationship with God?
