Micah 4:1 – 5

1. What do you like most about mountains? Trees? Which mountain is “chief” for you? Why? What is your tree of choice? Why?

2. What is your favorite antiwar slogan? Why that one?

3. Which mountain will be “chief” for God’s people? What exalts it above the rest?

4. In this prophecy, what time frame do you think “the last days” refers to in this context: In this world? In the next world? Or when the Messiah returns? Why?

5. How does this prophecy of “swords beaten into plowshares” (verse 3) square with the one just before it of Zion “plowed like a field” by the sword? How does this vision of united nations under God fit Isaiah 19:23 – 25)?

6. What is your vision of perfect peace? Should Christians take the lead in the disarmament movement? How else, by God’s grace, will you plan, work and pray toward your peace project?
